ScanScore is a software that helps you study, write, and transpose sheet music.
It is a software that scans your sheet music, so you can digitalize it in a fast and easy way.
You can also do a little editing too.

This is how it works: To start working in the software, you will first need to import your sheet music into the program. You can do this in three different ways - you can import an image (PDF,
TIFF, JPG and PNG files are supported), you can scan your sheet music with a scanner, or you can use your phone to scan your music.
Once the files are imported into the software, you will see the original sheet on your left side on the monitor, and the scanned version on the right. At the top of your screen, you will find the Menu, which provides you with the tools to help you improve your scan.

Scanning can be a little tricky - no software can scan sheet music with a 100% accuracy.
Fortunately, ScanScore is a very intuitive and easy-to-use software - you can fix the mistakes of the scan very fast, just by using the tools from the Top Menu.

With ScanScore, you can also easily change the tempo of the piece, or transpose it to a different key!
A big plus in this software is that it has a playback feature - you can hear your scanned piece immediately and hear where are the mistakes in the scan immediately.

Once you have fixed the scan mistakes, you can export your file as a
MusicXML file or MIDI file. Then you can import it into any music notation software (Dorico, Sibelius, Finale, Capella, FORTE, etc.) or any DAW.

There are three different ScanScore versions - Melody, Ensemble, and Professional.

With ScanScore Melody you can scan sheets with one staff (great for lead melodies, or orchestra parts).
With ScanScore Ensemble you can scan sheets with up to four staves/instruments (great for piano sheets, and ensemble sheets).
ScanScore Professional allows you to scan sheets with any number of instruments or staves (Great for Choirs, full-blown Orchestras, and Big Bands).

If you need more information on the software, or you have any questions concerning working with it - ScanScore has an awesome customer support that will be pleased to help you out.

If you just want to test the waters and see if ScanScore works for you, there is a 14-day free trial with all of the functions available - so yeah, try it, it doesn't hurt at all.
And if you have already purchased it, and somehow it doesn't suit your needs - there is a 30-day Money Back Guarantee.
